Quality Bio This is one of the most widely used modifications of Basal Medium Eagle. Originally developed as a richer version of BME through incorporation of four-fold higher concentration of amino acids and vitamins and some additional components. The original version of the more commonly used 'high glucose' (4.5 g/L) variant did not contain sodium pyruvate. 'DMEM' has been successfully used for the culture of normal and transformed cells. One of best known variations if the Iscove modification which was developed for the serum-free culture of mouse myeloma cells.
