Labstrong AY0017-4 Leak Detector Kit is your first line of defense against water damage. The Leak Detector Kit is a specialized, affordable water alarm and shut-off system. The kit has been designed so it can be easily installed on the inlet water source, operated and maintained.Upon sensing moisture, the leak controller will engage the shut-off valve and sound an alarm. The water source is cut off, stopping the leak while the alarm continues to sound until the automatic internal ball valve (quarter turn with safety collar) shut-off is manually reset. By preventing continuous water flow, mold and property damage are restricted and user liability is reduced.The Leak Detector Kit is simple to install. Included with the kit is a stainless steel two screw mounting plate, which allows for quick and simple installation. No electrical connections are required with the kit because the leak detector is powered by 4 AA batteries. A low battery alarm alerts (2 beep, 2 flash alert) the operator when battery change-out is required. LabStrong recommends changing batteries as soon as the low battery alarm alerts. If the batteries go completely dead, the ball valve will stay open and will be unable to prevent water damage. The leak controller features a pull-out battery holder for convenient battery replacement.Included with the leak detector kit are multiple ultra-sensitive water sensors that are daisy-chainable for increased coverage and protection in multiple areas.
